Bomb threat creates panic at HVP Public School, Gurugram; No explosives found

Gurugram, July 18: There was a stir when a bomb threat was received at HVP Public School located in Sector 46, Gurugram. On receiving the information, police and fire brigade teams reached the spot and conducted a search operation. After about two hours of effort, when nothing was found, the officials heaved a sigh of relief.

The school management informed about receiving an email about a bomb at around 11 o’clock. This mail was sent at midnight. In which more than 20 schools of Gurugram as well as Delhi, were included.

The school was evacuated, and the bomb squad investigated

According to the police, the emails may have been sent from foreign servers and encrypted platforms. The police have expressed the possibility of considering these as hoaxes (false threats), but nothing can be said for sure until the investigation is complete.

Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said that as soon as the information was received, a search and evacuation operation was started. Many schools in Delhi had also received threats of bombs being planted. Police and fire brigade teams evacuated the school. Along with them, the bomb disposal squad conducted a thorough search, but nothing was found.

These schools of Delhi received threats

St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Guru Nanak Public Sovereign School in Rohini, GD Goenka School in Dwarka, Dwarka International School, Richmond School in Paschim Vihar and Abhinav Public School in Rohini Sector 3 have also received bomb threats.
