City Authorities, Zero Tolerance and Heavy Fines for Vehicle Washing

Haryana: Gurugram Municipal Corporation is now in a mood to take action against those people. Those who misuse water, Corporation Commissioner said that in view of the scorching heat, our effort is to make water available to everyone. Those who misuse water will be fined Rs 5,000 for the first time and additional Rs 5,000 for the second time and their connection will be disconnected.

Strict legal action will be taken against those who misuse drinking water in the municipal corporation area. Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gurugram, Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar said that serious work is being done to ensure adequate water supply to all the citizens during the summer season.

Among these, washing vehicles and courtyards with drinking water and use of drinking water in lawns is prohibited. He said that installing the pump and motor directly in the line is prohibited as it can reduce the water pressure in the area and also causes pollution of potable water. If any pump or motor is found installed directly on the water line, it will be removed with immediate effect and confiscated.

If any washing station is found running without approval, it will be sealed along with cutting off its water supply. If any tap is found open in any house or public place, its connection will be disconnected immediately. Besides, action will also be taken if water was found to be wasted due to leakage in any individual connection or overflow of overhead tank.

The fine amount will be paid only after depositing the fee along with it. The Municipal Commissioner said that the use of drinking water in construction works is completely prohibited. On any such violation, along with imposing a fine of Rs 10,000, the water connection will also be disconnected.

Those who misuse drinking water are being monitored and strict legal action will be taken against them. He appealed to the citizens of Gurugram to inform the Municipal Corporation about those who misuse drinking water. The Municipal Commissioner said that due to increase in water consumption during the summer season and to maintain adequate pressure of water supply, many types of activities are prohibited.

For the second time, the connection will also be disconnected along with a fine of Rs 5,000. For the first time, a fine of Rs 5,000 and for the second time, an additional fine of Rs 5,000 will be imposed. Along with this, the water connection will be disconnected and restoration of the connection will be allowed with a disconnection fee of Rs 1,000 and re-connection.
