In Murthal, Sonipat, the neighbors attacked the family of a vegetable vendor. In a fight that started over a dispute on drain, the accused attacked three people of the family with swords and sticks and seriously injured them.
According to the police, the incident took place on the evening of January 23. The victim Vicky said that he drives a vegetable cart. When he woke up at around 6 in the evening, his friend Dhruv had come to his house. During this time, the wife of neighbor Jaikishan started a fight with Vicky’s wife Sarla over the drain.
When Vicky took his wife inside the house, Jaikishan’s sons Ravi, Sunny, Anil and Mahendra’s sons Naveen and Virendra entered the house with sticks. Sunny had a sword in his hand. The accused attacked Vicky and his wife. Dhruv, who came to intervene, was also attacked.
The victims called on Dial 112. On hearing the sound of the police siren, the accused fled after threatening to kill the family. The injured Dhruv was first taken to the government hospital in Sonipat, from where the doctors referred him to PGI Rohtak. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
