Provocative post regarding Nuh Braj Mandal Yatra

Gurugram: In Haryana, efforts have started to incite violence during the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra on July 22 in Nuh. The police have registered a case against Advocate Tahir resident Devla for inciting religious sentiments. He is accused of posting controversial posts on social media to cause riots between different groups based on religion.

The foundation of the violence in 2023 was also the result of propaganda done on social media. The police are alert this time and are keeping a close watch on social media.

Nuh Police spokesperson Krishna Kumar said that Manoj Kumar, a constable posted in Social Media Cell Nuh, filed a complaint at Cyber Crime Police Station Nuh on July 14. In this, Advocate Tahir resident Devla has been accused of trying to incite riots during the religious Jalabhishek Yatra to be held in Nuh on July 22.

According to the police, Tahir has posted a comment on his Facebook ID about spreading enmity between different groups on the basis of religion to incite riots, hurting religious sentiments, inciting the general public, and creating obstacles in the Jalabhishek Yatra. On this, Nuh Police immediately took cognizance, registered a case against Tahir resident Devla, and started an investigation.

Nuh Superintendent of Police (SP) Vijay Pratap has also appealed to the general public not to post any video, photo, or record in the form of a post to hurt any particular person, caste, religion, or sect by using indecent language. If any objectionable post is posted by any person or organization, strict legal action will be taken against him as per the rules.

The SP said that no person should spread any kind of false rumour on the social media platform. If anyone spreads rumours on social media or makes any wrong comment about anyone’s religion or caste, then Nuh Police will take strict action against him.

Nuh Police is constantly keeping a close watch on social media. People are also urged to maintain mutual brotherhood in society and not pay attention to any rumours. He said that social media should be used only to promote cooperation, mutual brotherhood, and harmony. Immediately inform the police about wrongdoers and mischievous elements. If any person posts objectionable, inflammatory posts on social media, then immediately inform the police about it.
