Haryana government tough stand on corrupt government employees, direct retirement if charges proved

The Haryana government seems to be in a mood to continuously show strictness on corrupt officers and employees. The latest update is that now if any officer or employee commits corruption, the government will retire him at the age of 50. The government has implemented the rule in this regard. After the implementation of the rule, the government has also banned the extension of the Group-B officer of the Revenue Department. According to the rule, orders for forced retirement of the officer will be issued soon. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has confirmed the new rule.

It is worth noting that the age limit for government jobs is up to 58 years. However, the Haryana government earlier used to investigate the cases related to corruption of the officer at the age of 55 years. If everything went well, the officer or employee was given an extension for the job till 58 years. Now the government has increased this age limit to 50 years. However, the review process will continue even at 55 years.

According to the new rule of the government, the confidential report of any officer and employee will be made the basis for forced retirement. Apart from this, the Annual Confidential Report (ACR) of the officers will also be investigated. If a person is caught in a corruption case or has been involved in it in any way, then he will not be allowed to work in a government job after 50 years.

Let us tell you that the Haryana government had earlier released a list of 370 corrupt Patwaris regarding corruption. The list stated which Patwari of which district takes how much bribe for which work. Apart from this, there were 170 Patwaris who had hired personal assistants. Some Patwaris were running offices at their home or private place.
