The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Anudeep Kaur of Hisar in Haryana has granted bail to HCS officer Kulbhushan Bansal, former SDM of Hansi, in a sexual harassment case. Bansal was accused by a peon of sexual harassment and death threats.
The victim employee had complained to many high officials including the Scheduled Caste Commission, Human Rights Commission, DGP. In the case, the victim had alleged that SDM Bansal forced her to sexually abuse him by showing a pistol. A video clip was also sent as evidence along with the complaint.
After the case came to the media on November 7, the police started investigation under the leadership of DSP Harendra. The police arrested the SDM and took him on one-day remand and then sent him to jail on November 10.
On the complaint of the victim, the Civil Lines police station had registered a case against the SDM under the SC-ST Act along with sexual harassment and death threats. After 2 months in jail, now the accused SDM has got bail from the court.
