Haryana NCB Meeting: Comprehensive plan for year 2025 made, 1500 smugglers to be nabbed

Karnal: The Haryana Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has prepared a comprehensive action plan by sharpening its strategy for the year 2025. Haryana NCB is preparing to achieve three times bigger targets than the previous achievements in the anti-drug campaign this year.

This includes making more than 70% of the villages and wards of the state drug-free, arresting more than 1500 smugglers in 750 cases of narcotics in commercial quantities, seizing assets worth Rs 100 crore and banning 100 drug smugglers under the PIT NDPS Act. Apart from this, a target has also been set to destroy more than 200 properties acquired by smugglers.

Under the directions of NCB Bureau Chief and Director General of Police OP Singh, Superintendent of Police Mohit Handa (IPS) held a meeting with all the DSPs, District Attorneys, and Unit Incharges of NCB at the headquarters Madhuban on Friday. Superintendent of Police Pankhuri Kumar (HPS) also attended the meeting through online medium. The outline of working in a planned manner to make Haryana drug free and taking strict action against smugglers was discussed.

NCB has planned to make 150 anti-drug videos and publish more than 5000 media reports to increase awareness in society. Superintendent of Police Mohit Handa said that special attention will be given to the drug network spreading in schools, colleges, and universities. He emphasized keeping an eye on the activities of drug smugglers through online and other means and adopting effective strategies to break their back.
