Haryana Police Sub Inspector (SI), who was caught in a bribery case, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver in Rohtak PGI. The Sub Inspector was fired from his temple, due to which the bullet passed through his head. Police could not even find the bullet.
On hearing the bullet sound, there was a commotion in PGI. After which, the police were called. When police arrived, the revolver was stuck in the left hand of the SI. That is how it was identified that the person who committed suicide was a policeman.
SI Pawan lived in Kailash Colony of Rohtak. At this time, he was posted in the CIA branch of Jhajjar Police. According to Pawan’s uncle, he was on a 5-day leave. He left home in the morning with his service revolver.
According to police sources, a bribery case was going on in Dharuhera of Rewari. In which Sub Inspector Pawan was also an accused. A departmental inquiry was going on against Pawan. This reason is being linked to the suicide. However, the police is also investigating the angle of a domestic dispute. Pawan has 2 sons.
