Recruitment for 8,653 Group C posts in Haryana cancelled, HSSC issued notification

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has canceled government recruitment for 8,653 posts. The commission has also issued a notification to withdraw its recruitment advertisement. All these recruitments canceled by the government are related to Group C.

It is written in the notification that as per the order issued by the Haryana government on May 16, the advertisement for these recruitments has been withdrawn. After the CET-2025 exam, an advertisement will be issued again regarding these recruitments.

The commission has also imposed a condition in this order. According to this, the candidates of the canceled recruitments who were eligible as per the advertisements already issued will be considered eligible for the re-advertised posts.

Recruitment for about 8653 posts for Group-C by the Haryana government has been withdrawn so far. The only reason being given for this is that these recruitments were taken out in 2024 just before the assembly elections. Questions were raised by the opposition parties regarding these recruitments, after which these recruitments came into controversy.

However, the government has also amended the CET exam, according to which now 10 times more youth will be shortlisted for these recruitments instead of 4 times. The government also wants that more and more youth should get a chance to join these recruitments, so the government has taken back these recruitments and has made preparations to take out the advertisement again.
