Haryana Weather: Fog engulfs 6 districts after sunshine of relief

Karnal: After several days of continuous sunshine in Haryana, there was a sudden change in the weather on Wednesday morning. Fog covered 6 districts since morning. These include Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Kaithal, Jind and Jhajjar. Visibility was negligible in Jind and Kaithal. Visibility was up to 50 meters in the urban area of ​​Panipat and zero in the rural area.

The Meteorological Department says that due to the effect of Western Disturbance, light to moderate rain may occur at some places during January 31 to February 3. Even now the night temperature is 2.2 degrees below normal. It has increased by 0.4 degrees in the last 24 hours.

The night temperature in Narnaul was 2.4 degrees. It has been estimated to be 5.1 degrees below normal. The day temperature has decreased by 1.2 degrees. However, it is still 2.5 degrees above normal.

So far in January, the Meteorological Department has issued alerts for Western Disturbance being active 4 times. Rain was predicted between 22 and 24 January. Due to Western Disturbance being active, there were chances of moderate rain in most of the districts. However, apart from drizzle in Faridabad and Gurugram, there was no rain anywhere.

Farmers in Charkhi Dadri have demanded compensation for the loss of crops affected by hailstorm. They have demanded compensation from the government. At the same time, they also raised questions on the compensation portal.

Jagbir Ghasaula of MSP Guarantee Kisan Morcha said that in the month of December, hailstorm caused a lot of damage to mustard, wheat, gram, barley, vegetable etc.  which has not been compensated yet.
