Haryana Weather Update: Two youths died in strong storm, IMD issues rain alert in 6 districts

IMD forecasts scattered rainfall in Gujarat next week

Two youths died due to a strong storm in the Hisar district of Haryana on Friday night. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of orange alert regarding the heat wave in the districts adjoining Rajasthan and rain in 6 districts. The maximum temperature of the state has also dropped by an average of 7.9 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department Center Chandigarh (IMD), an orange alert for heat wave has been issued in 6 districts of Haryana and a yellow alert in 4 districts on Friday. Apart from this, light rain is expected in 6 districts, while the weather will remain normal in 6 districts. People have been advised to remain alert due to sudden change in the weather.

32-year-old Suresh Kumar, a resident of Chhan village of Barwala in Hisar, died when a neem tree fell on him in a strong storm. At the same time, 20-year-old Rupesh, who lived at his maternal grandfather’s house in Kharak Punia, died due to the bike colliding with a fallen tree near the canal. The deaths of both the youths have been confirmed in Barwala Hospital, and the police have taken coincidental action.

The India Meteorological Department Meteorological Center Chandigarh (IMD) has issued a forecast of rain for the next four days (from 23 to 26 May). Under this, there is a possibility of up to 25 percent rain in 6 districts of the state (Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Kaithal) on 23 May.
