A canter coming from the wrong direction hit a bike on Refinery Road in Panipat making two brothers riding the bike fell down in the accident. The canter ran over one of them and he died, while the other was seriously injured. After the accident, the accused canter driver fled from the spot. A complaint was lodged with the police. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case of unintentional murder.
In a complaint to the Sadar police station, Mangat Ram said that he is a resident of the village of Faridpur, Karnal. He was going to his village from Panipat Refinery at around 9:10 pm on a bike with his brother Praveen. He was driving the bike himself, while Praveen was sitting behind.
At the same time, a canter came from the wrong side at a very high speed without blowing the horn and without giving dipper and hit their bike directly. Both the brothers fell down as soon as the collision took place. After which Praveen came under the canter and died after being crushed.
After the accident, the accused canter driver fled from the spot. An ambulance arrived at the spot. The body was sent to the civil hospital. Where the Panchnama was filled and the body was kept in the mortuary.
