Tragic incident in Rewari: Oil Tanker leaves Victim Trapped for 10 metres

Haryana: In Haryana’s Rewari city, a man was first hit by an oil tanker and then crushed and dragged for 10 meters. After the accident, the accused driver fled from the spot. The injured was immediately admitted to the trauma centre, where doctors declared him dead. Model Town police station has registered a case against the absconding tanker driver.

According to the information received, the daughter of Kooderam, a resident of Siwadi village in Farrukhnagar of Gurugram district, got married in Jivada village of Rewari. When his wife’s health deteriorated, the family members admitted her to a private hospital located at Ranbir Singh Hooda Chowk in the city. Kooderam had come to the private hospital in Rewari to know about the well-being of his brother-in-law.

In the afternoon after leaving the hospital, we were going back to the bus stand. Then a speeding oil tanker coming from the bypass near Ranbir Chowk Hooda Chowk hit Kuderam hard. After the collision, Kuderam fell on the road and the tanker driver crushed him and dragged him for about 10 meters. After this a crowd gathered and the accused driver fled from the spot.

Kooderam’s relatives present in the hospital immediately admitted him to the Trauma Center in Rewari in a critical condition, where the doctors declared him dead. After receiving the information, Model Town police station reached the spot, took possession of the body and registered a case against the absconding tanker driver on the complaint of Dharambir, Samadhi of Kooderam. Also, after post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family members.
