International Gita Festival inaugurated with great pomp by Guv Dattatreya, people reaching at Saras and Crafts Fair

Kurukshetra: Governor Bandaru Dattatreya inaugurated the Saras and Crafts Mela on Thursday amid the sound of conches and with this, the International Gita Mahotsav-2024 was inaugurated with great pomp. In the Saras and Crafts Mela, the artists showcased the culture of their state and made the inaugural ceremony memorable. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya also inaugurated the media center of the festival.

The Governor inaugurated the Saras and Crafts Mela by lighting the lamp at the International Gita Mahotsav-2024 on Thursday at the holy banks of Brahmasarovar and expressed his reverence by offering flowers to the copy of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.

The Governor observed the fair on the banks of Brahmasarovar. During this, he interacted with the Dhol-Nagara Party, the artists performing stunts, the artists performing dance, and the Bean Party. Premvati, who came to the fair for the first time from Jodhpur, craftsman Virendra from Bhiwani, craftsman Amolak from Rajasthan, craftsman Mehar from Himachal Hamirpur were asked in detail about their craftsmanship. The Governor spent a few minutes at these stalls and also got information about craftsmanship and self-help groups. Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh thanked the guests.

Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said that the launch of the International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav is a historic occasion. Thousands of years ago, Lord Shri Krishna imparted the knowledge of the Gita to Arjun on the land of Kurukshetra. This knowledge of the Gita is as useful today as it was at that time. Kurukshetra is as useful today as it was at that time. This message of the Gita will be remembered for ages. The Governor said that the Gita Mahotsav is being celebrated not only on the land of Kurukshetra but also at the international level.
