Jewellery stolen from woman’s bag in Panipat

Panipat: Jewellery was stolen from the bag of a woman travelling from Rohtak to Panipat on the Haryana Roadways. The woman has expressed suspicion of theft by the bus conductor and an unknown person. The conductor had kept the woman’s bag under the rear window seat.

The woman was made to sit two seats ahead of her. When she reached Panipat, she saw the contents of the bag scattered. After this, she complained to the police and also suspected the conductor. The police have currently registered a case against the unknown person.

In a complaint given to the Sector 29 police station, the woman, Lalita, said that she is a resident of the Indira Colony of Rohtak. On July 9, she was going from Rohtak to Siwah in Panipat on Haryana Roadways. She was coming here to her maternal home.

She had a bag. where her jewellery was kept. When she boarded the bus with her sister, Neelam, an unknown person asked her to keep her bag under the seat next to the rear window. He told her to keep her bag with her.

Then that person said that the conductor would keep your bag here too.

After some time, the conductor came there and kept the bag there. Not only this, he made her sit two seats ahead of that seat. When she reached the Siwah bus stand, she saw that the contents of her bag were scattered.

Two gold bangles, a gold chain, a locket, and a mangal sutra were missing from the bag. The weight of these ornaments was about 8 tons.

The woman suspected the bus conductor and the unknown person of stealing the ornaments.
