Khattar government ruined government schools of the state: Anurag Dhanda

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party’s Senior Vice President Anurag Dhanda has targeted the BJP and JJP government over the deletion of names of children in government schools and the disillusionment of children from government schools.

He said that the Khattar government wants to close government schools. On one hand, it is trying to destroy schools in the name of merger. On the other hand, the number of children is also continuously decreasing. The illiterate Education Minister has done the work of destroying the education system of the state.

He said that according to a survey conducted by the Haryana Education Department, the number of Out of School Children (OOSC) among children aged 7 to 14 years is continuously increasing in the state. Whereas in 2021-22, 19481 children had enrolled from government schools, in 2022-23, 28,139 children had enrolled. This year, 31,068 children have withdrawn their names from government schools.

He said that on one hand the Khattar government is closing schools in the state in the name of merger. On the other hand, parents seeing the future of their children in darkness are getting their children’s names removed from government schools. Statistics show that in cities like Gurugram, 3820 children, 3279 in Yamunanagar, 2922 in Panipat and 2269 in Panchkula have got their names removed from government schools.

He said that the court has also reprimanded the Haryana government and imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh for the dilapidated condition of government schools. The court had said that the Haryana government should come out of the planning mode, come into active mode and the Haryana government should stop playing the game of numbers.
