Haryana has displayed its talent brilliantly in the fifth Khelo India Winter Games held in Leh-Ladakh. The state team made its presence felt by winning two bronze medals in ice skating. The first medal was won by Sachin of Ambala in the 1000 meter long track race, while the second medal came in the account of the men’s relay team.
In the relay team, Parikshit Kharoliya of Sonipat, Rohit Kumar of Jind, Abhyudaya of Gurugram and Kapish Kaushik of Fatehabad took their team to the third position. It is particularly noteworthy that the Haryana team based on junior players gave a tough competition to the snowy states.
According to Haryana Ice Skating Association State President Bijendra Lohan and State General Secretary Naresh Selpad, this performance has led to a significant improvement in the national ranking of Haryana. Earlier, where the state was at the tenth position, now it has reached the sixth position. In the competition, Ladakh stood first, Tamil Nadu second, Maharashtra third, Telangana fourth and Karnataka fifth. This achievement is important because Haryana’s new and young team has achieved this position.

Anshika, Gaurav Khatkar from Panipat, Jiya Singh from Faridabad, Tanishka, Harshita from Kurukshetra, Abhyudaya, Stuti Dhandaniya, Shivam Singh from Gurugram and Kapish Kaushik and Tushar Khatkar from Fatehabad.
