Panchkula: A leopard died in a tragic accident on the National Highway near Morni T Point in Panchkula district of Haryana. This incident happened when a leopard was crossing the road from the hilly area towards the city. Then a truck coming at a high speed hit it.
Social worker Pushpa informed the Wildlife Department about this accident. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, officials of the Wildlife Department immediately reached the spot. Local police also reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
Wildlife officials reached the spot and took possession of the leopard’s body and started investigating the matter. There is a lot of anger among the local people about this incident, and they have demanded that the administration strictly control the speed limit of vehicles on this route.
This accident has once again raised questions about the safety of wild animals and the protection of their habitats. Wildlife experts believe that high-speed vehicles in hilly areas can prove fatal for these animals.
