In broad daylight, about 2 lakh rupees were stolen from a shop in Rohtak. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV installed there. Two youths riding a bike are seen stealing. After getting information about the theft, the Urban Estate Police reached the spot and seized the CCTV footage. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
Rohit, who lives in village Morkhedi, currently in village Bohar, said that he has a building material office in the name of Bholu Builders near Bohar bridge. At around 10:15 in the morning, he went to the village of Bohar for some work. He left the office open, and the keys to the cupboard and office were kept in the drawer of his table. Before he could return, the accused committed the theft and fled.
Rohit said that when he returned after some time, the door of the cupboard was open and the key was also in it. When he checked the cupboard, 1 lakh 96 thousand rupees kept in it were found missing. He immediately complained about the theft to the Urban Estate Police.
Rohit said that CCTVs have been installed inside and outside the office. When the CCTV was checked, two young men were seen coming on a bike. The accused entered his office and took out the key from the drawer, opened the cupboard, and fled with the money kept in it along with the bag.
Investigating officer of Urban Estate Police Station ASI Satish Kumar said that he had received information about the theft. After the information, the police team reached the spot and checked the CCTV footage. Police registered a case against the accused on the basis of CCTV and Rohit’s complaint and started an investigation.
