Bhiwani: A man committed suicide by jumping from a mobile tower in Bhiwani, Haryana. Family members say that his wife was harassing him.
His wife and her family members had beaten him and his father. The pressure was being exerted by his wife and her parents to withdraw the case filed in this regard. The Tosham police station is investigating the matter. The body has been taken to the civil hospital for a postmortem.
Praveen, a resident of Dinod village in Bhiwani, said that his elder brother, 35-year-old Narendra, and he were married 15 years ago in Devsar village. The wives of both brothers are real sisters. Praveen said that his brother Narendra’s wife, Darshana, used to quarrel often. She used to abuse and torture him. She used to call her parents and maternal family members and get them beaten up.
Praveen told us that earlier, his brother’s wife, Darshana, and her family members came to village Dinod and attacked Narendra and his father, Mukesh, and injured them. We had registered a case against them. Now pressure was being put on us to withdraw the case. They were threatening to kill Narendra.
He said that, fed up with his wife and in-laws, his brother Narendra climbed the mobile tower in front of the house in the village on Tuesday afternoon. He climbed the tower and said that he was committing suicide because he was fed up with his wife, Darshana Devi, and in-laws. Before we could do anything, he jumped from the tower.
Narendra was brought to Bhiwani Civil Hospital in critical condition. He died during treatment there. Tosham police station is taking action in the entire case.
Narendra has two children. His 4-year-old son is Vivek, and the other son is 2 years old. There is mourning in the family due to his death.
