Sirsa: A person died in a road accident near Mochiwali temple on Dig Road in Sirsa. A speeding pickup hit a bike rider. The injured was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Baljeet Singh (38). Baljeet Singh used to work as a palledari in the grain market. Baljeet and his friend Harshdeep were returning home from work. Both were riding on different motorcycles. A speeding pickup coming from Dig Road near Mochiwali temple hit Baljeet’s motorcycle.

The deceased was dragged for a long distance

The collision of the pickup was so strong that Baljeet was dragged for a long distance. Harshdeep immediately called an ambulance. The injured Baljeet was taken to the government hospital in Sirsa. The doctors declared him dead. Harshdeep informed the police about the entire incident.

Demand for action against pickup driver

Harshdeep has demanded strict action against the pickup driver. The police have registered a case under sections 281, 106(1), 324(4)(5) and BNS. All legal proceedings including postmortem have been completed.

Baljeet’s family is in deep grief. They are so shocked by this incident that they are not in a position to give any statement.
