MP Krishna Lal Pawar resigns from Rajya Sabha after victory in assembly elections

New Delhi: After becoming an MLA in Haryana, Rajya Sabha MP Krishna Lal Pawar has resigned from the Rajya Sabha. While being a Rajya Sabha member, he contested the election from Israna constituency on a BJP ticket.

After being elected MLA, he has resigned from the Rajya Sabha. He has been the Transport Minister in the BJP government in 2014. Now once again he is in the race for the ministerial post.

According to the information, Krishna Lal Pawar has submitted his resignation to the Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The Speaker has also accepted his resignation with immediate effect. Krishna Lal Pawar has become an MLA from Israna assembly seat. Only after this he had to leave the Rajya Sabha.

After resigning, Krishna Lal Pawar said “I salute the people of Israna assembly who have elected me as their leader for the sixth time. I used to serve the people as a servant earlier and you will also continue to serve the people as a servant.”
