Mustard purchase stopped in Meham’s grain market; Farmers upset with the new conditions by NFC

The purchase of mustard has come to a standstill in the new grain market of Meham in Rohtak district. NFC company has imposed new conditions for the purchase of mustard. According to the company, it is mandatory to put a waterfall in the heap of mustard.

The purchase system which started from March 15 has not been smooth yet. The mustard brought by the farmers in the market meets all the standards. Still, only one heap has been purchased today.

The administration is deliberately delaying the purchase

The commission agents say that the government and the administration are deliberately delaying the purchase. There was never a condition of putting a waterfall earlier. Now, suddenly, new conditions are being imposed. The arrival of mustard in the market is increasing. Farmers are leaving their crops with the commission agents.

Due to a lack of purchases, heaps of mustard are being formed in the market. This has caused great anger among the farmers and commission agents.
