NHM employees in Faridabad stage bold protest: Donate blood while handcuffed

Faridabad: In Haryana, NHM employees in Faridabad protested by wearing handcuffs on Independence Day, the 21st day of the strike. They also donated blood wearing the Corona Warrior’s kit.

Doctor Gajendra Adhna, ambulance driver Padam Singh and ANM Urmila said that they have been on strike for the last 20 days over some of their demands.

But they have not received any assurance from the government. They demand that they should be made permanent and the government’s announcement of giving the seventh pay should be fulfilled.

Due to no assurance from the government, their protest has been going on continuously for 21 days. Today they donated blood wearing handcuffs on their hands. This gave the message that even today they have been working under NHM for about 20-25 years. But their hands are still handcuffed. Because neither he is permanent nor is he being paid for his work. Permanent employees are getting more salary.

Ambulance driver Padam, who wore Corona’s dress and donated blood, said that during the Corona period, he did the work of saving people’s lives by putting his life at stake while performing his duty. At that time the government addressed him as Corona Warrior. But when they talk to the government about their demands, the government says that they had mistakenly called him Corona Warrior.

Padam said that till their demands are not met, they will continue their protest. If the patients are facing any problems due to the strike, then the government is responsible for that. They do not want any patient to face any problems due to them. The government should pay attention to our demands.
