Nuh: Nuh Cyber Thana Police has arrested two such cunning criminals, who used to cheat Sarpanchs and former Sarpanchs by posing as fake DSPs. One of these accused has also been found to be involved in the Nuh violence. The arrested accused have been identified as Khalid son Badruddin, resident of Khedli police station Nagina, and Akil son Janu, resident of Otha police station Pinangwa district Nuh.

Nuh Cyber Thana Police had registered a case in this regard two days ago on the complaint of a former Sarpanch. The main accused has been taken on one-day police remand, while his partner has been sent to judicial custody.

According to the information, a former Sarpanch of Reeth village, Dilbagh, told in a complaint to the Cyber Thana Police that two-three days ago a call came on his mobile. The caller introduced himself as DSP Shamsher. Dilbagh told him that DSP Shamsher was his acquaintance, but he had not spoken to the DSP for a long time. Due to this, he did not even have the mobile number of the DSP. Victim Dilbagh says that was the number from which the call came.

When he investigated it, he found a photo of DSP Shamsher Singh in his dress on his WhatsApp profile. DSP Shamsher’s name also came up on Truecaller. A day later, he again called from the same number. During that time, the person posing as DSP suddenly told me about a family problem and demanded 95 thousand rupees. He also told me about his SBI bank account. Dilbagh fell into the trap and got 95 thousand rupees transferred to the account mentioned through Phone Pay from his younger brother.

The next day, when he called again, posing as DSP, and demanded money, he realized that he had been cheated in the name of DSP Shamsher. The number from which the call came came on his mobile, posing as a DSP. Victim Dilbagh provided the police with that number, screenshots of money transfers, WhatsApp chatting, Truecaller, etc. evidence. Nuh Cyber Police Station also took immediate action in this regard, laid a trap, and arrested two accused.

The main accused was Khalid, a resident of Khedli Nuh, who used to cheat sarpanches and former sarpanches by threatening them by posing as a fake DSP, while his partner Akil used to help Khalid in this crime. During interrogation, it was found that he was also involved in the Nuh violence on July 31 last year. He pelted stones at Adbar Chowk, and while joining the crowd, he attacked the Cyber Police Station. Accused Khalid has been taken on one-day remand, while his partner Akil has been sent to judicial custody.
