Grandparents and grandson commit suicide by consuming poison in Haryana

Hisar: On Tuesday, three members of a family committed suicide by consuming poison in Hisar, Haryana. The incident is in Dhandhoor village. The deceased include grandparents and grandchildren. The family used to do farming by taking contract fields near the village for about 10 years. This land belongs to a person living in Hisar.

According to the neighbours, when the land owner did not settle the accounts even after taking the land on contract and doing farming, the family got upset and consumed poison.

All three were admitted to the civil hospital. Here, the grandson died first during treatment. After this, the grandparents also died. The deceased have been identified as Pratap (65), Bimla (60), and Naseeb.

According to the police, Pratap was originally a resident of Dabda village.

He used to live in Dhandhoor village and do farming by taking land on contract. He used to manage the entire farm, and in return, he used to get 10 per cent of the produce. The entire family lived from this. Pratap’s son is a drug addict.

For this reason, Pratap’s grandson, Naseeb, used to stay with his grandparents. Pratap’s son used to not come home for many days due to drug addiction. The responsibility of the entire family was on Pratap.

Naseeb’s parents divorced many years ago. After this, the father got married for the second time, and that too did not work out. After this, the father became a drug addict. When the family consumed poison, the son was not at home. Sadar police station is busy taking action.
