Hisar : A very serious case has came to light in Hisar of Haryana. A minor girl, who was orphaned after the death of her parents, was sold by her uncle’s son and his wife to an unknown person for Rs 1.20 lakh.
On the complaint of Aunt of minor girl, police have registered a case against Ramu and his wife Radhika, residents of 7 Road, Hisar, under other sections including selling a minor. Police are continuously conducting raids to arrest the accused. Ramu works in a private company located on Satroad in Hisar.
Took away from aunt’s house by luring her with good education
After the demise of her parents, the 14 year old minor’s aunt Durga brought her to Deoria in Uttar Pradesh. In her complaint given in the police station, the minor’s aunt has said that recently Ramu and his wife Radhika had come to her.
Both of them said that they have come to take their daughter with them to Hisar (Haryana) for better education. The aunt has said in the complaint that both of them told her that she would not be able to study here in the village and they would get her admitted in a good school in the city. After this, both of them assured her not to worry about anything and they would take good care of her.
The aunt said that considering the good future of the daughter, she sent the minor with Ramu and his wife. But after a few days, she came to know that both of them (Ramu and Radhika) had sold her to a person named Manjeet from Gohana (Sonipat).
Sonipat police is conducting raids to arrest the accused
Aunt Durga reached Hisar as soon as she got the information about this. The aunt informed the Hisar police about the entire matter and lodged a complaint against Ramu and Radhika. Hisar Sadar Police Station registered zero FIR against the accused under section 370(4) of IPC and 81JJ ACT IPC and further transferred them to Gohana, Sonipat. Because Gohana was involved in the case of trafficking of a minor.
Sonipat police has also started its action as soon as the FIR was received. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. Both the accused absconded from Hisar as soon as the case was registered. The police suspect that this could also be a gang working together in a chain system.
