Palwal: Firing in broad daylight; Scorpio rider in critical condition after being shot

Palwal: A youth was injured in a firing incident near Hasanpur Chowk in Hodal city on Friday morning, while the shooters fled from the spot. The injured was rushed to the government hospital, from where he was referred to a higher centre after seeing his critical condition. As soon as the information was received, DSP and station in-charge reached the spot with police force and took stock of the incident.

According to the information received, former councillor Virendra’s nephew Narveer alias Bhola, a resident of Hodal Rohta Patti, had come to Hodal in his Scorpio car to meet him along with his two-three friends. Narveer stopped at a juice shop near Hasanpur Chowk on National Highway-19 to drink juice.

The attacker fled after shooting

As soon as he sat in the car and drove off after drinking juice, another Scorpio car came from behind and the people in it started firing on Narveer’s car. In the firing, a bullet hit Narveer alias Bhola’s chest and he got injured. After which the attackers fled from the spot with their car.

Injured Narveer alias Bhola was immediately taken to the government hospital in Hodal by his companions for treatment, from where the doctors referred him to a higher center after seeing his critical condition. Currently, Narveer is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Faridabad.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, DSP Kuldeep Singh and police station in-charge Mohammad Ilyas reached the spot with the police force. The police inquired about the incident from the nearby shopkeepers and started searching the footage of the CCTV cameras installed nearby, so that the accused could be traced.

In this regard, Hodal police station in-charge Mohammad Ilyas says that when he got the information, he reached the spot with the police force, but till now no complaint has been given by the injured. A case will be registered against the accused only after receiving the complaint. He said that the police team is engaged in searching attackers.
