Panipat: Thieves target locked house, jewels and cash stolen

In the village of Barana in Panipat, thieves targeted a locked house and stole valuables worth lakhs. The owner of the house had gone to the fields. When he returned from the fields, he found that a gold chain weighing one tola and ₹60,000 in cash were missing.

The thieves had scattered all the clothes from the wardrobe. A complaint was lodged with the police. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of theft.

In a complaint given to the Sector 13-17 police station, Bansi, a resident of Barana village, stated that on the afternoon of April 15 at around 12 PM, he returned home from the fields. When he entered his room, he found the locks on the wardrobe and rooms broken.

All the clothes from the wardrobe were scattered in the room. When he checked inside the wardrobe, he found that a gold chain weighing one tola, ₹60,000 in cash, and a mobile phone were missing.

Bansi tried to find the culprits on his own, but was unsuccessful. He suspects that the thief might be someone known to him, as he had only recently locked the house before heading to the fields. He believes someone may have been watching his house and monitoring his routine. Since he usually goes to the fields around the same time every day, it appears that the crime was committed based on this pattern. Due to the absence of CCTV cameras in the area, the identity of the thieves could not be established.
