Faridabad: Dozen cows found dead on road, Police launch investigation

Faridabad: The police administration was in a panic after finding about a dozen cows dead and in critical condition on the roadside at around 1:30 am last night on Faridabad Gurugram Road in the Faridabad district of Haryana. After getting information about the incident, Bajrang Dal district coordinator Puneet Vashisht along with a team of other cow protectors reached the spot and the injured cows were sent to the veterinary hospital for treatment. Currently, the police have sent the dead cows to the veterinary hospital for postmortem.

Last night at around 1:30 Bajrang Dal district coordinator Puneet Vashisht said that he got information from Gau Rakshak that there are some cows near the Hanuman temple on Gurugram Faridabad road, that have been slaughtered and thrown away. After getting the information, when he reached the spot along with other Gau Rakshaks Shiva Dahiya, Mangat Jain, Mangat Sharma Vishwanath Sharma and other Gau Rakshaks, he found that there were about dozen cows on the approximately 1 km long path from Hanuman Mandir on Gurugram Road, which were in a very critical condition, out of which about 10 cows had died on the spot and two were still alive.

Looking at the scene and the cows, it seemed someone had thrown them from the moving vehicle out of fear of the police. Due to this most of the cows had died due to serious injuries. Puneet Vashisht said that the police were trying to bury the dead bodies of these cows by digging a pit with the help of JCB on the spot, but on their demand, the dead bodies of the cows have been sent for postmortem and the injured cows have been sent to the veterinary hospital for treatment.
