Palwal: There was an encounter between the police and the criminals in Palwal, Haryana. The criminals opened fire on the police. In response, the police also opened fire, in which 2 criminals were killed. During this, 3 policemen including the CIA in-charge of Palwal were also shot.
Both the criminals killed in the encounter, Zorawar and Neeraj alias Neeria, are residents of Rewari. The police had placed a bounty of Rs 1 lakh each on them. Their bodies have been kept in the hospital for postmortem. Police have been deployed outside.
Police had received input about the criminals
According to Palwal police, on Sunday night, police had received input about their presence in the areas of Zorawar and Neeria. After which police started searching for them. Police came to know that these criminals were going towards Palwal-Nuh road. Seeing this, police surrounded them near Lalwa village on Palwal-Nuh road.
Seeing themselves surrounded by police, they opened fire, 3 people including CIA incharge got hit
Seeing themselves surrounded by police, Zorawar and Neeria took out their weapons. Afraid of getting caught, they started firing at the police team. Due to the sudden firing, CIA incharge sub inspector Deepak Gulia, Kuldeep and Narendra, who were part of the encounter team, got shot. However, all the three policemen survived because they were wearing bulletproof jackets.
The police also fired back, both the criminals were killed
After this, the police team also came on high alert mode. The police also took out their weapons and started firing at the criminals. There was continuous firing from both sides for some time. After which the firing from the criminals’ side stopped.
Then the police came to know that both the criminals had been killed. After this the police reached there and took their bodies and weapons in their possession. On investigation it was found that one criminal was hit by 2 bullets and the other by 3 bullets. Due to this they died on the spot.
