Farmers blockade railway track Shambhu border, traders and industrialists write to ECI-CJI, protest affect the business

Ambala: Farmers have been sitting on the railway track at Shambhu railway station in Punjab from last 11 days on the call of United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan-Labour Morcha. The protesters have announced to continue the agitation until the release of three farmers including young farmer leader Navdeep Singh.

On the other hand at the same time, traders of Punjab and Haryana have written a letter to the Election Commission and the Chief Justice Of India, they demanding opening of Shambhu Border.

Traders said that first Covid, then flood and now due to closure of Shambhu border the business has been ruined. Said that if the problem is not solved then all the traders will close their shops and take to the streets. They told due to closure of Shambhu border, traders of Ambala are facing huge losses.

Farmers Mahapanchayat In Jind

On the other hand, the ultimatum given by the farmers to the government is ending today. In the Mahapanchayat held in Jind’s Khatkar village, farmer organizations had given an ultimatum to the Haryana government till April 27. However, farmers have already given ultimatum four times, but no cognizance was taken by the government.

73 trains canceled today and tomorrow

Railways is being affected due to the farmers’ movement. Railways has canceled 73 trains till April 28. Routes of many other trains were diverted and many trains had to be short terminated.
