SGPC raise concerns over Parole Bid:Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim

Haryana: Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the government and SGPC on the application of Gurmeet Ram Rahim and sought their reply. In fact, the Division Bench of the High Court based on Justice GS Sandhawalia has asked the Haryana Government to provide information about how many parole applications of last one year of other convicts like Gurmeet have been rejected. Whereas Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh wants to come out of jail.

In the hope that he has approached the High Court to remove the order banning any kind of parole. Gurmeet Singh of Dera Sacha Sauda wants to come out of jail again. On Monday, the High Court issued a notice to the Haryana Government and SGPC on Gurmeet’s application and sought their reply.

The division bench headed by Justice GS Sandhawalia of the High Court asked the Haryana government to provide information about how many other convicts like Gurmeet, who have been convicted in similar cases, have had their parole applications rejected by the government in the last one year.

In his application, Gurmeet has said that he still has 41 days of parole left this year and he wants to take advantage of it. He has claimed that he is eligible for release this year for a total period of 41 days including 20 days parole and 21 days furlough.
