Chandigarh: In a big relief to Dera chief Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim, the High Court today acquitted him in the Ranjit Singh murder case.
In 2021, the CBI court of Panchkula had convicted Ram Rahim in the murder of Ranjit Singh, the former manager of the Dera. Ram Rahim was sentenced life imprisonment in the case.
This punishment was challenged by the Dera chief and others in the High Court. Today, the High Court, accepting the appeal of all of them as correct, has acquitted him from the murder charges of Ranjit Singh.
