Faridabad, May 20: There has been a threat to blow up the Mini Secretariat in Faridabad, Haryana with RDX. The message came on the DC’s mail ID on Tuesday morning. As soon as the information was received, police teams reached the spot and investigated.
Dog and bomb squads were also called to the spot. Since it was morning, there were no employees in the office. The teams searched every nook and corner of the secretariat. However, nothing suspicious was found here.
According to police sources, the threatening message came in the name of Madras Tiger. It was written in the message that a blast would be carried out at 4 pm. However, the officials did not say who sent the mail.

- Checked before the office opened: DC Vikram Singh said that an email was received at around 6.30 am, informing about the presence of a bomb in the Mini Secretariat. As soon as the information was received, the police force and the dog squad team were immediately alerted, considering the seriousness of the situation, and the security agencies checked every place in the secretariat before the office opened.
- Action will be taken against those who spread rumours: DC further said that there was no chaos here because the office was not open. During the investigation, no objectionable object or explosive material was found. The threat that came through email turned out to be a rumour. All work is going on normally in the Mini Secretariat. Strict action will be taken against those who spread rumours.
Threat was received on 3rd April too
Before this, on 3rd April too, there was a threat of bombing the Mini Secretariat. Even then, a threat was sent to the official mail of Faridabad DC, in which a religious slogan was also written along with the threat. At that time too, the police teams did not find anything during the investigation.
Earlier, 4 schools had received threats.
4 schools in Faridabad have received bomb threats. This threat was given via email on 21 December 2024. The police did not find anything during the investigation. The threat was to blow up DPS schools in Sector-19, Surajkund, Sector-81 and Ballabhgarh. The police had even then confirmed the email and said that they would investigate.
