Haryana: Revealing the murder of a woman that took place in Rewari on Thursday, the police have arrested the daughter-in-law of the deceased.
The arrested accused woman has been identified as Chanchal, a resident of Mohalla Vijaynagar. Police said that Omprakash, a resident of Mohalla Vijaynagar, had told in his complaint that his sister Maya Devi lives in Mohalla Vijaynagar and his brother-in-law Naresh Kumar works in BSF.
Omprakash had told that on the night of 23/24 May, he got a call from his nephew and informed him about some incident happening at home. After which when he reached his sister’s house, the main gate was locked.
After this, he jumped over the wall from the side plot and went inside and found a gate open from there. When he reached inside the house, his sister’s daughter-in-law Chanchal had locked herself inside the room and her sister’s body was lying soaked in blood in the side room. There were also knife marks on the body. On which the police registered a case of murder in Model Town police station, Rewari.
When the police strictly interrogated Chanchal, the daughter-in-law of the deceased woman, she told that her mother-in-law used to quarrel with her every day. On the evening of the incident, he had an argument with his mother-in-law Maya Devi over food.
Due to this dispute, he got angry and killed his mother-in-law by stabbing her with a knife. In this case, the police has arrested the accused woman Chanchal. The police produced the accused woman in the court and took her on one-day police remand for questioning.
