Panipat: The Sessions Court of the Panipat district of Haryana has sentenced a young man guilty of murdering a friend three years ago.
District Attorney Rajesh Chaudhary said that the Court of Sessions Judge Sudesh Kumar Sharma has sentenced the accused, Pintu, a resident of Batra Colony, to life imprisonment under Section 302. Along with this, a fine of Rs. 25,000 has also been imposed on the accused. If the fine is not paid, the accused will have to undergo an additional sentence of one year.
In a complaint given to the Purana Industrial Police Station on April 26, 2021, 20-year-old Pintu (the accused) said that he is a resident of Batra Colony. He had gone to urinate. Forty-five youths were quarrelling with Rana, a resident of Batra Colony.
He does not know their names, but he can identify them by their faces. Who beat up Rana in front of his eyes and injured him with a knife and screwdriver? He immediately called Rana’s cousin, Shanti, to the spot. After which, both of them took Rana to the civil hospital. The doctors declared him dead after a checkup.
Actually, at the time of the incident, two youths named Vicky and Sagar were also with Rana. During the incident, the culprit, Pintu, had threatened them. After this, both of them were silent. When the police started investigating the case, the above two told Rana’s brother Reenu about this. After this, Reenu also investigated it in her way. Then the police were informed. When the police took Pintu into custody and interrogated him strictly, he confessed to the murder.
During police interrogation, the accused, Pintu, told police that he was married to Jyoti three years ago. After marriage, he lived in the Batra Colony, away from his family. Here he became friends with Vicky, Sagar, and Rana Kashyap. They used to visit his room. Rana Kashyap had an evil eye on his wife.
Due to this enmity, on the evening of April 25, he went to the railway line with Vicky, Sagar, and Rana for a walk. There, he told Rana that he had an evil eye on his wife. On this, an argument started between the two. Meanwhile, he stabbed Rana. He also stabbed Vicky in the hand, who came to intervene and threatened to kill him if he told anyone.
