Kurukshetra: Along with the district administration, private institutions are also making efforts to ensure that maximum number of voters cast their votes in the great festival of democracy on 25th May.
Many private restaurants, hotels and sweet shops in the district have appealed to motivate the general public to vote by giving discounts on products related to their establishments on 25th and 26th May.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Nodal Officer for SVEEP activities, Dr. Vaishali Sharma said that the general public should come in maximum numbers to vote in Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency. Work is being done to create awareness about importance of voting.
The establishments in the district of Kurukshetra have worked to motivate people to vote by giving 10 to 15 percent discounts on the products related to their establishments. The objective is to increase the voting percentage in this Lok Sabha election as compared to the previous Lok Sabha elections.
He said that the person who casts his vote on the day of voting can get 10 to 15 percent discount on the products from the concerned establishments by showing the ink mark on his finger.
Among them, 15 percent discount will be available at Hotel Saffron, Spicy Street, Hotel Pearl Mark, Hotel Krishna, Hunger Hub, Importer Pizza, while 10 percent discount will be provided at Hotel Kingstar, Gulab Sweet and Restaurant, Pizza Hut, Hunger Hub. This discount will be available on the day of voting and the next day also.
