Four drug smugglers arrests in Sirsa, worth Rs 10 lac

Sirsa: In Sirsa, the police have arrested four drug smugglers from two different places. 257 grams of heroin were recovered from a youth. The cost of which is said to be Rs 10 lakh. While 54 kg of poppy husk worth Rs 2.5 lakh was recovered from three youths.

In the first case, a team of CIA Sirsa was patrolling the city on Monday night. Meanwhile, near JJ Colony, the police signalled a car coming from the front to stop. Seeing the police, the driver turned the car back. After this, the CIA chased the car and stopped it. Three youths were found in the car. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan says that when the police searched the car, 54 kg of poppy husk was found in it.

The accused were identified as Aditya, son of Yogeshwar resident of New Housing Board Colony Sirsa; Sajan, son of Rajkumar resident of Rangdi Road Sirsa; and Ravi, son of Amrik Singh resident of Gali Mochianwali Raniyan Road Sirsa. During interrogation, the accused told them that this poppy husk was given to them by Ravi, the son of Subhash, a resident of Kabir Colony, Rohtak.

The second case is of the Ding police station area. Police recovered 257 grams of heroin from a car near Bhavdin Toll Plaza. ASI Rajesh Kumar said that the police were patrolling on NH 9. During this time, the police stopped a car near Bhavdin Toll Plaza.

The driver was identified as Kamal Kumar, son of Ghamandi Lal, resident of Chandigarhiya Mohalla Valmiki Chowk Sirsa. Kamal Kumar said during interrogation that he had bought the heroin from Sonu Sansi, a resident of Indira Colony, Rohtak.

After this, the police arrested the accused, Kamal Kumar. Accused Kamal will be produced in court, and police remand will be obtained. During the remand period, it will be ascertained to whom Kamal Kumar was going to sell heroin in Sirsa. Apart from this, accused Sonu Sansi will also be arrested soon.
