Sonipat: Blast at Rubber factory; owner succumbs to injuries, 40 injured

Sonipat: A factory owner who was burnt in a fire at a rubber plant in Sonipat, has died in Delhi. Rahul Jain, a resident of Pritampura, Delhi, owned a factory in Rai Industrial Area, Sonipat. He had come to the rescue after a fire broke out in a neighboring factory.

During this time, he was burnt in a sudden blast. He was first admitted to Kundli and later to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. The condition of the rubber factory owner’s nephews Anshul Jain and Reema Pradhan Rakesh Devgan remains critical.

As per information, the boiler caught fire in the factory at around 4 pm on Tuesday evening which led to a blast. Factory workers and other officials were trying to control the fire. Other factory owners and workers also reached the spot. During this time, many people were burnt in a sudden blast.

As per information, 40 other people injured in the accident are being treated at Civil Hospital, three private hospitals of Sonipat, Khanpur Medical College and Rohtak PGI.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Kumar has issued orders for investigation of the accident. The causes of the accident will be thoroughly investigated. Along with this, the boiler inspector will also inspect all the boiler factories.
