Truck crash in Panipat: 1 dies and 2 injures in Truck-Car collision

Panipat: A speeding truck hit a Scorpio car from the side near the police line on National Highway 44 in Panipat, Haryana. Three friends travelling in the car were seriously injured in the accident. Nearby people immediately rushed them to a hospital for treatment.

Doctors declared one dead after a checkup. A complaint about the accident was lodged with the police. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of culpable homicide against the accused.

In a complaint to the old Industrial police station, Ranjat Shahrawat said that he is a resident of Sector 2, Palwal. He works in road construction. Vikas Jakhar resident Mifak Ghani Palwal also lived with him. Both of them, along with another youth, had left for their home in Chandigarh in a Scorpio car on the night of August 5.

When he reached GT Road in front of Lalachna Petrol Pump a little ahead of Panipat Police Line at around 2 o’clock in the night, a truck driver came from the wrong side, driving at a high speed, and hit him from the side.

Due to this, he got badly injured. The car was parked on the road due to severe damage. The passersby gathered on the spot and immediately took him to the hospital. After the checkup, the doctors declared Vikas dead.
