Palwal: The Cyber Crime Police Station of Palwal has arrested an accused of cheating people by blackmailing them by making pornographic videos. On the complaint of Cyber Crime Police Station’s investigating officer, Devi Singh, a case has been registered against the accused under various sections, and an investigation has been started.
According to Cyber Crime Police Station in-charge Naveen Kumar, Havildar Devi Singh posted in the police station and said in the complaint that he is posted as an investigator and different types of cyber crimes are happening across the country. In this, some thugs trap people through video calls by imitating the voice of a girl, record their pornographic videos, and then cheat them by threatening to make that video viral.
He was assigned to investigate those who do this type of work. He was busy investigating it. During this time, the informer informed me that a boy and his other friends picked up people’s mobile numbers from Facebook and other social media sites, made video calls to the said numbers through WhatsApp, and played a girl’s pornographic video from another mobile. He said that the accused also got pornographic videos made of the person in front. After that, they call and threaten to make the video viral and extort money.
The informer told me that the criminal Guldin involved in this crime is currently standing at Agra Chowk, waiting to go somewhere. After this information, the police reached the spot and took the accused into custody. During interrogation at the police station, accused Guldin told me that he is a resident of Paldi village in district Ding (Rajasthan). On checking the mobile phone recovered from the accused, it was found that he was making videos of many people on his mobile phone.
The accused, Guldin, said that after making such videos with his accomplices, he traps people and then extorts a huge amount from them by threatening to put them on social media. The police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him. The accused will be taken on remand from the court so that his accomplices can be interrogated and arrested.
