Youth commits suicide, when stopped from going to Haridwar in Haryana

Karnal: The youth asked for money from the family, and when they did not give it, he ran away from home and jumped in front of the train.

On Tuesday, a youth committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Karnal, Haryana. The youth wanted to go to Haridwar. He had asked for money from the family members. When the family refused to give the money, they argued. After this, the youth left the house at night.

In the morning, his body was found lying on the railway line. The deceased has been identified as Ramandeep Singh (20), a resident of Bastara village. The GRP police handed over the body to the family after conducting the post-mortem of the deceased.

Ramandeep’s maternal uncle, Balindra Kumar, said that the family members started searching for him at night itself, but no trace of him could be found. On Tuesday, GRP found a dead body on the railway line. GRP checked the mobile of the deceased. After this, they were informed about the incident.

Balindra Singh said that Ramandeep was the only son of the house. He used to work as a labourer. His father, Narendra, died 10 years ago due to illness. His mother and grandparents live at home. Ramandeep also has a younger sister, who got married a year ago.

GRP station’s investigating officer, Mahendra, said that at 1.30 am, information was received that a young man had committed suicide at the Bastara railway crossing. There was also a mobile near the body, from which the deceased was identified by getting the number of the family members. Ramandeep was a resident of Bastara village and had left home due to a quarrel. The police are investigating the matter.
