Theft in a closed house in Panipat

Panipat: Thieves targeted a house in Jasbir Colony of Panipat City, Haryana, which was closed overnight. The thieves stole goods, jewellery, and cash from the house. The crime was committed when the family had gone to Haridwar for their mother’s rituals. A complaint was lodged with the police. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against unknown thieves.

The thieves broke the lock of the main gate and entered.

In the complaint given to the Tehsil Camp police station, Gurvinder said that he is a resident of Jasbir Colony. He is an autodriver. On July 5, he had gone to Haridwar with his children for his mother’s rituals. He returned home on the evening of July 6. After coming back, he saw that the lock on the house was broken.

When he entered the house, the goods were scattered inside. When he looked in the room, the goods were stolen from there. When she checked, she saw that two gas cylinders, a ring, two tops, a pair of earrings, and about Rs 27,000 in cash were stolen from her house.
