Trade union strike on 20 May in Rohtak

The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (SITU) has geared up for the nationwide strike on May 20 in Rohtak. CITU leaders have decided to join the nationwide strike and put pressure on the government so that the demands of the working class can be met. Even after this, if the government does not meet the demands of CITU, then another movement will be announced.

CITU District President Kamlesh Lahli said that the strike will be participated on issues like cancelling the Labor Code, implementing a minimum wage of Rs 26,000, making temporary employees and project employees permanent, implementing the board of construction workers, giving 600 rupees daily wage and 200 days of work in MNREGA, ending inflation and unemployment.

Inflation rising due to neo-liberal policies

CITU Provincial Vice President Satbir Singh said that due to the neo-liberal policies of the BJP alliance, inflation and unemployment are increasing in the country today. The NDA government is looting all the public sectors of the country for a pittance to benefit its favorite corporate houses. By implementing the Labor Code, the government is conspiring to make the workers slaves of the capitalist houses. All the labor laws are being flouted in the industrial areas.
