Faridabad: The police has issued a traffic advisory regarding the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Fair starting from February 7 in Faridabad. The fair will continue till February 23 and lakhs of people from India and abroad are expected to attend it. 10 places have been fixed for parking the vehicles of the people coming to the fair.
According to DCP Jasleen Kaur, during the fair, entry of heavy vehicles will be restricted on several routes from 7 am to 12 pm. Only vehicles carrying essential items like fruits, vegetables, milk and medicines will be allowed on these routes.
He informed that alternative routes have also been decided to make the traffic system smooth. Drivers coming from Gurugram have been advised to go towards Delhi via Sainik Colony mode via Ankhir Chowk and Badkhal instead of MVN Chowk from Pali Chowk. Parking arrangements have been made at 10 different places for the convenience of the visitors coming to the fair.
These routes were fixed for vehicles
- Drivers coming from Ballabgarh via Pali, instead of going to MVN Naka from Pali Chowk, went straight from Sainik Colony mode via Ankhir Chowk and Badkhal towards Delhi.
- Drivers coming from Prahladpur Delhi Border and Shooting Range towards Surajkund Faridabad, instead of going directly to Surajkund, should enter Faridabad via the highway via Badarpur Border.
- Drivers coming from NHPC Chowk via Surajkund should use the National Highway to reach Faridabad city.
