In a tragic incident last night in Vikas Nagar of Ladwa town of Kurukshetra, a 70-year-old woman was burnt to death in a house fire. The deceased woman has been identified as Pati Devi. At the time of the incident, her son Hiralal and other family members were sleeping in other rooms of the house.
When the family woke up in the morning, the house was filled with smoke. On going inside, Pati Devi had died. Son Hiralal immediately informed the police, after which the police team reached the spot and took the body into custody. Initial investigations have revealed a short circuit as the cause of the fire.
According to information, Pati Devi was unable to walk and was sleeping alone in her room at night, while other family members were in different rooms. The police have started investigating the exact cause of the incident.
