Tragic loss to family in Ambala: Conjoined twin girls share heart, succumb within 48 hours

Ambala: Twin girls born on Thursday night in Ambala Cantt, Haryana, lost their battle for life after 48 hours. The family took the newborn girls to their home when the doctors refused to admit them. On Saturday night at 2 o’clock, both the girls breathed their last in their mother’s lap. The family had named the girl Lakshmi. The girls’ father, buried both of them on Sunday morning in the crematorium built near the Tangri River near HUDA Sector 34.

It is known that in Ambala Cantt, a woman named Shakuntala gave birth to twin girls in the Civil Hospital on Thursday night. The surprising thing was that the necks of both girls were separate and the stomachs were joined together. They had one heart. The delivery of the woman was normal, but seeing the condition of the girls deteriorate, the doctors referred the newborn girls to PGI Chandigarh.

The surprising thing was that the newborn girls were referred back to Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital from PGI Chandigarh. From here, they were again referred to PGI, but the doctors sent them back to Ambala from Chandigarh. Troubled by the actions of the doctors, the family took the newborn girls to their home. After this, the family was taking care of both the girls at home by feeding them milk. When it was late at night, both the girls died. Both the girls were buried this morning.
