Police arrests drug smuggler in Sirsa

Sirsa: Under the special campaign being run against drug smugglers in the Dabwali area of Sirsa district of Haryana, Anti Narcotics Cell Dabwali has succeeded in arresting a youth with 30 grams of heroin (chitta). The accused has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Hemraj, resident of Ward No. 15 Dabwali. The police will take the arrested smuggler on remand and interrogate him.

Regarding this case, in-charge Suresh Kumar said that Assistant SI Dalbir Singh was present in Khatik Mohalla with his police party to prevent crime and drugs. A person was seen walking in the street in front. Who, on seeing the police vehicle standing in front, turned back immediately and started walking with fast steps.

The police arrested him with the help of fellow employees on the basis of suspicion. When he was searched, heroin (chitta) was recovered from his possession. Action was taken by filing a case under the NDPS Act in the police station of the accused. The arrested accused, Sanjay, will be produced in court and taken on police remand. Legal action will be taken against other people associated with this network of heroin after finding out their names and addresses.
