Voting for Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee in Haryana

Hisar: Haryana Gurudwara Management Committee (HSGMC) elections have started. 6 candidates are trying their luck from Ward 29 in Hisar, Haryana. All the districts of the state have been divided into 38 wards. Hisar has been placed in Ward 29, which includes an area of ​​​​about 150 km from Hisar and nearby Bhiwani, Tohana, Fateh  abad.

Voting started at around 9 am and will continue till 5 pm. Crowds are being seen outside the polling stations since morning. Booths have been set up at Thakur Bhargava Das School in Hisar. Four booths have been set up in Tohana, one in Bhiwani, one in Hisar, one in Hansi, one in Narnaund, one in Uklana and one in Fatehabad.

Out of the 6 candidates contesting from Ward 29, three are from Panthak, Nalvi and Daduwal party and the rest are independent candidates. This time votes are being cast using EVMs.

5984 voters will cast their votes

There are a total of 5984 voters in Hisar’s ward 29. Out of these, 2299 are men and 3685 are women voters. In a way, women have an upper hand. For voting, it is necessary to bring a slip of Haryana Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee and a voter card.

Two withdrew nominations and two supported

Let us tell you that earlier the last date for filing nomination papers for the election was 28 December. At that time 10 candidates had filed nominations. The time to withdraw nominations was till 2 January. One candidate withdrew his nomination and another candidate Jagbir Singh also withdrew his nomination.

On 2 January, election symbols were distributed to 8 candidates. Meanwhile, 2 candidates Kehar Singh and Sardar Inderjit Singh also extended their support to Balwinder Singh Khalsa. Now 6 candidates are contesting the election.
